That Day of Regret
I still remember the very first time I played Pokémon GO—running through my neighborhood, full of excitement, just to catch that rare Pokémon. Later, in Monster Hunter Now, I hunted powerful monsters with my friends, and the thrill of it all completely hooked me.
But soon, reality hit me.
One day, I missed a limited-time Raid event happening in New York. Players there were battling together, while I sat at home, frustrated and disappointed. I wanted to join too, but geography had locked me out.
Eventually, I realized this wasn’t just my frustration. Countless players worldwide wanted to explore and adventure together, yet barriers of distance and time kept getting in the way of the fun.
My Reflection
I tried using a few tools available on the market, but the experience was awful:
- Some required jailbreaking—far too risky, even bricking devices.
- Others were unstable, constantly disconnecting or failing to lock location.
- Worst of all, there was always the looming risk of a ban, wiping out all the progress I had worked for.

With that thought, I began building.
